Once upon a time, in the faraway land of Lafayette, there was a young princess who loved music. Now, don't take me wrong. Being a princess, doesn't mean you must be a girl. In fact, this was one of the rare male princesses, and he loved wearing his dresses and skirts.
Axl, as he liked to be referred as, was the son of the evil king Stephen Bailey and the queen Sharon Lintner. His name was actually William Bruce Bailey, but he didn't like being called William saying it just didn't fit him or his music.
Well, Axl was on his normal day of walking through the beautiful green fields, covered in flowers and bordered with those fences we always see in cute, calm films where there's a farm. But unfortunately, or not, he wasn't alone. First, there was his guardian, mostly known as Izzy, who had the duty of following him around and protecting him, though Axl usually was the one to end up protecting Izzy. And unknown to the two… a dark creature was watching from the shadows.
That's about the time when his father sent for him, ruining his perfectly cute day when he had to enter the cold palace and go to the throne room, not knowing what to await.
Now, you see, the princess wasn't anything like you'd think. He wasn't innocent, pure and all that you'd see in a Disney movie. Nothing against Disney, mind you. Anyway, he certainly wasn't a virgin to either man or woman, and with his sexiness he could enchant them quickly.
But he didn't want something serious, and his parents wanted to get him married to someone as fast as possible. So, after countless tries, he finally told them he didn't want to marry another princess, since that would be wrong considering he was a princess himself.
He thought his problem was solved, until his father announced they'd arranged a marriage with Stephanie Seymour, one of the few… female princes… of the kingdoms.
Now, at the news, he didn't faint. Oh, that would be completely out of character for him, princess or not he wasn't a spoiled little girl.
"WHAT THE FUCKING HELL?" Yep, that's his reaction. Unfortunately, the rest of his incredibly curse-filled rant was censored for way too much use of swear words, and since this is supposed to be at least a bit of a fairy tale, let's pretend I'm going to be a good girl until the end of this. I certainly won't.
Now, this made him get locked in this high up tower, guarded by a really giant dragon who was the only thing he had to talk to while he was there, and he also ended up figuring out the dragon wasn't all that scary. He also found out that Duff, to not call him a dragon repeatedly, could turn into human form as well.
"And so I was talking to Izzy about it, and we got to the decision that if they actually made the arrangements to a marriage, we'd run away. But I guess this place is more fucked up than I expected, and I can't run away alone." Axl explained, whine chugging down a bottle of some stuff called Jack Daniels that he'd found around the tower. At first, the drink had gotten him sick, but now he was used to it.
"Well, unfortunately I can't help you yet…" Duff seemed to be thinking, though it was hard to identify his expression when he was in his creature form. "But the king said that Izzy and I have to go on a mission soon, maybe I'll drop him off somewhere and make him free me, then come back and let you free…"
"Good… plan…" The redhead blinked, shaking his head a bit as he felt dizzy. "Sleep…" He fell back down onto the bed he had in the tower, making Duff chuckle from outside the window before starting to pretend being serious at guarding the princess. Yeah, right.
